    According to the cartell FAQ:
Why, when first registered in Ireland do imported vehicles Number of Previous Owners register as 0?

When a vehicle is imported into Ireland the vehicles physical attributes are recorded but its history is not imported. To obtain the recorded history of a UK imported vehicle prior to registration in Ireland click on the HPI link on the Cartell website and carry out a HPI check using the previous UK registration.

thanks for that, i just did the free search and it gave the basic details but reccomended that a 3 star search be done for that particular vehicle, im goin to get it done anyways but is this normal for it to recomend the search?

Basically, they are telling you that all they have is the Irish history.
