Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Simon reynolds must read story of rave, clubbing and dance music has been updated, well worth a read and a pretty good overview of how the scene started...perfect summer reading as well as pretty decent overview of who what why when and where, one for the beach in ibiza :p

    seconded! great book!

although i hear the new chapters don't add too much and are a bit eccentrically chosen..

a chapter on "microhouse" (remember that???) and nothing on grime?

really odd considering he's one of the better writers on grime in the "blog-o-sphere" (i feeel dirty for using that word)

ah well... as long as the tracklisting for it is in there then it shouldn't be too much of a chore to track them all down on youtube anyway...

incidentally, the chapter on early 90's london pirate radio (which was left out of the USA edition) is available online - it's a really good read!

i hear along the grapevine that someone's managed to coax you out of retirement for a one night comeback gig by the way - any truth in the matter?
