Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Leaving UCD very shortly.
When do they close down your email & library accounts?

    Cheers

I've been wondering myself as well about what happens to email account!

You lose it, although I don't know when OP. Having an account gives you access to Connect, which gives you access to the online library, which would create copyright and subscription issues if anyone except current staff and students had access.

I really should have thought of this before I made it my main email account :p

    Which is fair enough.
    All I found was this...

    Account Removal
Student accounts are available during the student's academic career. Once the student is no longer registered for a certain time, then the account is removed.

I suppose it doesn't shut down until the start of the new academic year in case people are doing repeats or continuing on...

I can still log into my UCD mail, I can still print from the UCD computers. My library account doesn't work because my card expired on September 30th and I can't log into SIS, but the other stuff still works just fine, and I finished my course in September last year.

I don't know if it's the same for anyone else though.

Connect will only sign you on for your library card, so if it's not valid then connect won't actually log you on to the journals. I know some people gone well over a year who can still get some IT services.
