Weed-treating a patio ??

I've just had a patio power-cleaned...and re-sanded. Is there anthing I should do know to discourage/prevent the usual weeds from making an appearance ?. I'm wondering if I sould soak with Roundup or something. Looks great when clean...and I'd like to keep it this way for a long as possible. Thanks, K
