Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone download the Gears of War II trailer posted on Xbox Live over the weekend?

Looks just like the last one, to be honest. I didn't really see anything of substance extra.

Not that that's a bad thing. The first one was one of the best, if a tad short, games in the past few years.

I liked Gears of War alot, the first time I played it, but after that I found it very repetitive. Even the music---which I thought was outstanding---began to wear me down because every 2 minutes it would seegue into that duh-duh-duh-duh-DUH-duh-duh tune, which is awesome and manly the first few times, but boring after a while.

One thing I dig about the sequel though, is the massive amount of enemies this time. I just hate those bloody Berserkers, hope they've been left out this time :)

That's the one. Co-op on Gears of Wars was the best craic I've had with a game in a long time!

I think it looks great. More of the same will suit me just fine.

That looks fantastic, there not taking anything away from the first, just adding more cool stuff to an already fantastic game, Kudos to Cliff and the gang!

It looks well but then the first game is still one of the best looking gams on the 360. I can't wait to see the new one up and running on a proper HD widescreen TV.

There's a lot of talk about expanding on the back stories and fleshing out the characters more. I'm generally for that. If its done well. I'm not too confident in Epic's ability to do that. The story in the first game was grand. It did exactly what it had to do i.e. Set up the situation for some excellent run and gun (and cover) gaming.

Sometimes less is more. Case in point: Halo 1, simple story very well told that was a first class medium for first class gameplay. Halo 2... <cough>... yeah...
