Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I borrowed the season one boxset off a mate of mine today cos I've seen the odd episode here and there and wanted to watch the series from the start.

But when I put on the first disk (and I checked and it was definitely disk 1) it started with a "previously on galactica" kind of refresher cut-scene. I thought that was a bit weird, a refresher on the first episode of the first series, but I checked online I realised that the first episode on the boxset is actually the fifth episode in the series (the episode named 33) so basically the pilot isn't included in the boxset so I don't get to see the set-up and back-story for the entire show!

Am I missing something here, like was the pilot a seperate dvd release since it was four episodes all together? Just seemed kinda weird to me

The pilot mini series (shown as two episodes not four and presented on the DVD as a single feature) was released seperately.

Yep, 'tis a tad confusing alright to get the order of episodes straight.
The correct order was dealt with in a recent thread here and was pretty handy for a n00b like myself .

The miniseries is worth getting your hands on if you can.

Did you buy yours from USA? Cos their Region1 release included the miniseries I believe...
