Ok so I have an interview this week for a job I really want, and I'm tearing my hair out trying to find something to wear.. So I'm putting the feelers out here to see what everyone else deems appropriate for an interview... It's been 4 years since I last did one and I don't really fancy going for something boring or with the hot weather we're having, heavy ie, the whole suit thing.. Am I bound to a blouse and jacket here or is it ok these days to wear say, a nice formal skirt and a dressy top, or some knee length black trousers and a blouse, anyway you get the drift… Any advice will be appreciated.. Cheers :)

Knee length trousers? Definitely no. I'd go for a skirt/jacket/blouse attire but deffo not in black. It's summer so all light colours are acceptable.

tbh i think if the job you are going for is a career based ie. you see yourself in that field for the long-term then nothing less than a suit should be worn.

of course there are exceptions to this, mainly retail though.

Nah it's not retail it's career based...

it's only for a few hours, and you can always take off the jacket.
    You'll be grand.
