Ah yes, the 707 test flight! What was his name again? Tex Johnson was it? He rolled it after being so confident in it's abilities in the test flight! The Beoing cheif apparently kind of shout at him "What the hell are you doing?" to which he replied "I'm selling your airplanes!". I think the reply to that was "that's fine, but don't ever do that again please!!"

Engineers reckoned that if you were to roll a 747 the wings would shear off due to it's mass, but didn't one roll in an uncontrolled dive one time before the pilots managed to regain control and land? Some Japanese pilots wasn't it?

You have got to be kidding me.......

Looks like that was set up for spectators to see him do.
