Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is the new years eve going from one decade to another i.e 2009 - 2010 a big deal??
I was only 10 when we went from 1989 - 1990 so i cant remember, and the of course 1999 - 2000 was a big deal because it was a whole new millenium..
    Anbody know?

2009-2010 No big deal imo, just like 89-90 wasn't.
Is it two thousand and ten or twenty ten?

I went to Denmark last year and had a great time. I think to go abroad for new years is a great idea and I´m gonna do it again this year.

i don't think so. a decade is ten yeas right? so one year is done at the end of 2000. 2001 being the start of the SECOND year. so on 31st of dec 2009, we're one day away from 10 years.

Depends when ya start counting from i suppose :D

I was in the South of France for New Year's Eve - best New Year's Eve ever...relaxed, great food, music, and no hassle getting taxis after!

I'm going to call it Twenty-Ten. Just like all those old 60's B-movies would call it. Two years down the road and no robots or flying cars in sight. I'm annoyed.

I am going to call it two thousand and ten. i think it will be wierd when referring to cars as a 10 C like you would say a zero 5 C or a zero 8 C..

Of course it's a big deal.
It's the end of one era, and the start of another. People define thing's by decades

    ie.
    "70's rock was the best"
    "80's cars were terrible"

You never hear people say "1983-1993 fashion sucked"

At least the 60s,70s,80s etc had cool names. What are we in? The noughties?

    Terrible.

But that would make this decade only 9 years long.
