Best Car Alarm for a Convertible?

    All:

A few questions about car alarms for a convertible.

    1) Can you give some ideas about the best car alarm for convertible? I've heard that Clifford and Cobra seem to be highly recommended.

I am ooking to spend around €350 all in (including installation). I don't need carjacking protection (at least I hope I don't!) or a remote starter. I would like a pager feature that lets you know when the alarm has been activated.

Incidentally, my car already has an immobiliser and central locking.

    2) Also, what kind of sensors would you recommend for a convertible (someone told me a glass break sensor is next to useless for a convertible.) A proximity sensor that senses when someone is near the car seems like a good idea.

    3) Finally, I've been having a hard time getting car alarm vendors to call me back, so do you have any suggestions for a reliable installer in Dublin?

    I sincerely welcome all suggestions!

    WW
