registering an .ie

Ok can someone tell me simply how to register a .ie if you are not a company

Smeone today told me to register the name and then get the .ie for it
However the site I have in mind is pure political my own project and one word that sums up what the site is about.
The word is however a general word so I dont know if I can register it as a company name

Its like Boards like was "boards" registered as a company or did they register Boards.ie as a company
I am quie confussed and since I have found a perfect name I am qute keen on getting it

The simplest solution is to register a business name with the CRO (http://www.cro.ie) and then apply for an IE domain.

Eye but if I take this website as an example do I or can I register "Boards" "Boards.ie" or something like "Irish Boards Website"

Blacknight's suggestion comes under cat. 4. Have a look at Category 11(discretionary), this is where your domain will most likely fall under.
