castlefreke beach

Has anyone here surfed castlefreke before. Ive heard its a fairly dangerous beach. Any info about the place would be great.

yep castlefreke can be quite a dangerous place to surf. i would definitely not recommend it to beginners. when its good the wave itself is steep and hollow and can pack quite a punch. as well as this there's pretty bad rips there and rocks at both ends of the beach. on top of all this it gets really crowded which is a danger in itself especially when the take off is so critical. if you're intermediate or more advanced go for it! if not try inchydoney - much more mellow wave and can be good fun on the right day.
