hey guys, looking for accommodation for a total of 5 people in New York, preferably Manhattan as thats where everything is and i have a job there, plus we can subway or taxi it home after nights out instead of heading to trains out to long island, brooklyn etc meaning going home early! we've a budget of a thousand dollars…

hey guys,

looking for accommodation for a total of 5 people in New York, preferably Manhattan as thats where everything is and i have a job there, plus we can subway or taxi it home after nights out instead of heading to trains out to long island, brooklyn etc meaning going home early!

we've a budget of a thousand dollars each a month for accommodation - so 5000 dollars

any suggestions as areas to stay, websites/real estate to lookup

anyone been to brooklyn or queens - is it similar to manhattan or would we be missing out?

have been tapping craigslist for weeks now so anything else would be great
