Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

inspired by this article on Joe Cole and the reunions on Wednesday night

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/may/19/championsleague.chelsea

How annoyed are West Ham fans with the fact that 4 of their former players will be playing in European Footballs biggest club game on Wednesday, along with David James & Glem Johnson winning Cup Medals on Saturday (and Jermaine Defoe cup tied),not forgetting Harry Redknapp managing, that was the nucleus of a great first XI.

I also bring up the topic as a reminder to the Villa fans how important it is MON keeps Barry, Young, Agbonlahor, Laursen and whoever else as the last thing we want to be seeing is to be feeling like West Ham fans will be feeling on Wednesday Night!(like Yorke in 99!)

Maybe hammers should deem it a credit to their youth set up and wonder why more players from that set up are not been given the chance?
Seems the seemingly endless conveyer has dried up.
Then again the same thing happened at United, now its Arsenal with the phenomenal youth system.
    Seems to go in cycles.
Nothing that West Ham could do in all honestly, they are and probably always will be a selling club.

In fairness, without Mourinho's influence I don't think Joe Cole would be the player he is today

Harte, Woodgate, Smith, McPhail, Kewell, Robinson.........

    Lennon, Milner, Carson, Kilgallon..........

Soon to be Howson, Delph, Hotchkiss, Ovington, Elliot.........

Our academy is as good as ever ;)

Nothing can be done. The same thing is going to happen to noble, ferdinand, ashton etc. We have more youth such as tompkins and sears that look promising but will leave eventually.

Noble is the only one I think would stay no matter what tho as he is west ham threw and threw, but money usually tends to draw players away as they get older.

    No...... right thread.....

Response to point about youth academy production lines working in cycles....

I was merely illustrating that while the likes of Man Yoo's and Arsenals academies produce talent on a not so regular basis, Leeds is constant
