Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Microsoft Excel - Quick Query

    Hi there,

I am trying to create a spreadsheet where I may compare costs from different suppliers in different countries. In the 'A' row I have created cells for the exchange rates (I need to get the info now, but will be purchasing in the future). The columns have the numbers required of each item, plus the cost in the relevant currency.

I would like to create a formula that will calculate number required by price in foreign currency by the present exchange rate - e.g. always cell A2.

I can obviously get it to work for one cell, but when I copy it, it corrects itself for the appropriate number required and price (great), but also for the exchange rate - how do I fix it so it will always refer to cell A2, while correcting the rest of the formula?

I hope that makes sense!! Thanks for your help!!

    Figured it out!!

Placing $ in front of the column letter and row number sorted it out - $A$1 - making my formula (A2*B2)*($A$1).

That is probably from excel 101 - apologies!!
