Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try to set up a mates Xbox 360 online. Have everything wired up, but when I go to "Test Connection" my DNS keeps "failing", I've done it automatic and manual several times with no success, and when I go to Manual and then "Test Media" I get that the "PC selected" failed.

My mate is using Eircom Broadband.

    Gavin, try this

put this into your internet browser:

    http://192.168.1.254

    click on "custom services"

Scroll down to XBOX LIVE GAMES, select and click enable.

Select the IP for your xbox

let me know how you get on

Don't get those options on my mates computer, saying that he has an old Netopia modem think it's a 3341 version, possibly an update for this modem would give me the options?

I've tryed the above suggestion on my computer and I get all the options, and I'm using one of the newer one's with the aerial on the side of it which I guess is the one you are using.

does it connect to the router when you try to get to 192.168.1.254? like, are any options displayed?

    if not, try 192.168.1.1.

take a screenshot of the page that comes up when you lash that IP into your mates computer and i'll look into it for ye, sounds like the router firewall is blocking your xbox live ports

edit: try this site gav: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netopia/3341/3341index.htm

tells you how to forward ports for the 3341. the ports your trying to unblock are

    • UDP 88
    • UDP 3074
    • TCP 3074

When I type 192.168.1.254 i get options for Netopia, just not the same as mine own possibly because he has an old modem.

And the second part I'm lost on.
