  • Registered Users Posts: 23 Conchubar

I'm out working in Barretstown the 1st week in September (actually, think I'm back on the 12th) so anything after that would be great.
EXCEPT cycling, due to me falling over lots.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,610 ✭✭✭Karen_*

Ok so shall we say the 13th or 14th? For a walk and poss boat trip?

Its only you and me for the climbing so far Cancel, we need a third:D Anyone?

I'd definitely be up for some rockclimbing Karen. Also in the Rathfarnham area and can give lifts on the day :)

    Another climber?

Was thinking we could organise the climbing for end of sept and its €60 per head but cheaper if we get more peeps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

I think I'm good for the 13th anyway.

Hi guys, i'm new on this forum. I have decided to give up alcohol.

I want to experience more and not waste my weekends drunk in pubs. Sick of it.

I have been reading through this thread and would love to come along to some of the things suggested. In particular the Ghost Bus and the Comedy Night. I cant swim so would not be keen on the ou'l kayaking for obvious reasons.:D

Can we organise the Ghost Bus and the Comedy Night? I am happy to help organise in any way needed.

    Cheers.;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,610 ✭✭✭Karen_*

Sorry Tri but no bowsies allowed:p

We already had the ghost but but it was so good I'd do it again (probs bring son with me) and defo for comedy nights. Can I interest you in abseiling?:D

Oh bejeesus!! I think i'd ruin the tranquility for everyone else by screaming the whole way through it!! ha ha

Nah, because of the 'unable to swim' thing, I don't do water!
I'm hoping to learn soon but til then, i'm staying on dry land!!:pac:

Can we do another ghost? can we can we??!!:D It sounds brilliant.

Anyone been to any good comedy clubs recently?

    Any word on the climbing?

Hope about a game of friz or a frollic in the park some evening this/next week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,610 ✭✭✭Karen_*

Sorry...never rang about the climbing. Will do that tomorrow because am dying to do it soon.

Was thinking of going to a gig in the Ambassador next sun the 28th. Can't say what it is cos its a promotor we're not allowed talk about but if anyone wants to come please pm me.

    Park next weekend sounds good!

Was also thinking of things like going to the rugby, maybe getting a non-drinkers tag rugby team together too?

And do the non-drinkers want to come see me in the Civic theatre in tallaght in Nov? Am in a musical.

Anyhoo I will post the details of the climbing tomorrow:D By the way peeps, abseiling is not being tied to the back of a boat on a parachute. Thats for all those who when I asked them would they do it told me they can't swim:D not mentioning any names Tri;)

To be honest I go anyway
But it is a good suggestion
Seeing as there's no alcohol served in the grounds and that.
I tell yee of the not-liking-football persuasion, try it, you may be surprised

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,103 ✭✭✭estebancambias

Pick out something black and sexy and prepare to do some funky climbing/rugby.

LoI matches can be OK even if you're not football orientated, been a few years since I was at one. I'd rather that than hyped up Sky Sports.

I have a busy schedule coming up, so I'm not sure if I can make it to many upcoming events. Would love to squeeze in some climbing though - I used to go to Dalkey quarry sometimes with friends, but I was never too great at it. Would be good to try it again.

Karen, what date is your musical on? :) Any more details?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,610 ✭✭✭Karen_*

My musical is on the 11th to the 15th of Nov in the Civic Theatre in Tallaght. Have posted up in the musicals section at top of the boards. :D

Hmm, something autumnal, a kickabout among the brown leaves, perhaps?
