Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hostels in Paris are surprisingly poor. Even when you check out the usual sites, there are only a few hostels with a good rating - and relative to those in Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Prague or any other capital city, it's not great.
Was there in April and stayed in St Christophers - about 28euro a night I think but worth it and definitely would recommend when I think of previous hostel encounters in Paris!
    Pros -
    Clean
    No Lockout
In dorms, own light and curtain around bed
    Lots of storage space
    Enough toilets/showers

    Cons-
A bit too big and impersonal
Harder to meet people than typical hostels
    No kitchen
A good 30 minute walk from city centre but metro is very near

They have a bar/cafe on the ground floor which is the big place in the locality to hang out - basically means you're eating breakfast in your pjs beside some old french couple sipping a cafe. Interesting!
