Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Then vote for it, I'd second it, except I've already voted.

I really love this period of the stones with Mick Taylor coming in after Brian Jones, I really think he added to their sound for this period. Somebody told me that Rory Gallagher was actually up for the job, couldn't see that working out though

Also I think a lot of Stones albums suffered from sub par production\engineering which I guess maybe gave them a grittier sound but this album really sounds great in comparison.

True - It's a masterpiece of sloppy blues and lazy coolness.

Personally, I think it's overrated. They have far better albums than that.

Soul Survivor is a cool song though it must be said.

This album was one of Rory Gallaghers favourites,

If its good enough for Rory its good enough for me

Rumor has it Rory came up with the riff to "Start Me Up" during a jam session with the stones, dunno how true that is tho.

Couldnt imagine Rory playing with Mick Jagger, always thought Rory would have suited Deep Purple perfectly
