We live in Swords and my hubby has to leave the house before 7 to get to Tallaght by 8 or 8.30, though it's a lot better in the summer. Any other time if he leaves after 7 it could be 9 before he gets there - that's going on the M50.
I know you're in Balbriggan but I just thought this would give you some idea if you don't get replies from anyone in your area :)

The most direct way (public transport) would be train to Connolly and then LUAS to Tallaght.

It takes 46 minutes from Connolly to Tallaght (According to LUAS.ie) so you'd need to be in Connolly before 7:45 to make it to work by 8:30 so you'd need to get the 06:45 from Balbriggan to get you into Connolly at 07:26 (if you're lucky). Depending where you are in relation to the train station you'd be rising at 6am?

This all depends on things running smoothly and having lived on and used that train line (Lusk to town) for many years, that isn't likely.

If you're talking about driving, are you right in the head?
