Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

A friend of mine was recently the victim of an amazon Scam, where bascially he bought a (Too) cheap game that was never delivered, when he contacted Amazon they said the seller had disappeaerd.

I would like to know what guarantees online selling sites have i.e seller A lists hundreds of products with no intention of supplying them, transfers the proceeds to their account, withdraws the lot and sticks two fingers up to everyone.

What comebacks would the likes of eBay / Amazon have on these scammers, surely they could pursue these criminals somehow, any thoughts?

The direct approach is the buyer's contract with the facilitator of the online purchase - Amazon's terms are here http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=537868

If paid by credit card, there may be recourse to the credit card company.
