Cathal Brugha Street would probably be your nearest one.

It's in the grounds of Larkin Community College - yellow brick building beside the 'Clery's' car park. The entrance is from Champion's Avenue. Not sure it would be open at weekends though.

According to the DCC site, there's also one somewhere in the IFSC but I don't know where.

You can search for all DCC/Fingal/DLR facilities on http://www.dublinwaste.ie

For bottles in D1, it gives three results:
    • IFSC (click link to see map)
    • Larkin College
    • Alfie Byrne Rd

Incidentally, the map used by DCC says that Larkin College is on Sean McDermott St Upr, whereas Google Maps (and more importantly, Wishbone Ash) gives it as Cathal Brugha St.

The name got changed when they wanted to sell private apartments a few years ago.
Cathal Brugha Street is now as far as the lights at Gardiner Street, not just to Marlborough Street as before.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread!
Does anyone know if there are any other bottle banks in Dublin 1, near Mountjoy Square would be best? Checked out the one at Larkin College but the gates were locked, couldn't see any bottle bank through the gate either.
Also took a walk through the IFSC looking for the one there but did not find it!

    Cheers!

The bottle banks are certainly there, they are just around the corner behind the gym if you go straight in at the gate.

The college will be back in full swing from Monday.

Just want to confirm, The bottle bank in ther IFSC is gone (or maybe they have moved it somewhere else) it used to be behind the NCI, The nearest bank to the IFSC is on the bottom of Johnny Cullens Hill.....

    Thanks Guys,
I did walk right past where the IFSC bottle bank used to be but all that's there now is private bins for the pub. The Larkin College one will do the job, shame that it's only accessible when the college is open though.

There's one listed on the DCC website

    IFSC – Custom House Square

is that refering to the old one that's gone, or something new?
