Bearer... box with, umts or gprs.

no you're in the right section
    connection title: vodafone live
    bearer: gprs
    authentication: pap
    username: dublin
    password: dublin
    apn: live.vodafone.com

but they're not all the settings. Look around for a place to enter a proxy address. It should be 10.24.59.100 with the port 8080 and if 8080 doesn't work try 80

if you can't find a place for a proxy and it doesn't work, try changing the username and password to vodafone and the apn to isp.vodafone.ie

but the 99c a day deal doesn't apply if your apn is isp.vodafone.ie. It's 2c per kb

    Go this link here
Select Wap & internet under the picture
On the right, select manual setup
Then look at "Set up a GPRS data connection for WAP and Internet" & "Set up WAP and Internet profile"

I just got my LG Viewty and dispite entering the setting as suggested in above threads it still will not work for me (I'm with Vodafone Ireland) I've tried various APN's and proxy ports (everything I can think of). How did you get it to work for you in the end?

try the my vodafone thing at the bottom of the page first .just edited this in case you go through all these settings and this will work for you... go to phone settings, then go to connectivity.in access points i have vodafone live settings as above there are 2 other
access points on my phone now, vodafone mms,and vodafone misp.
    mms is

    vodafone MMS,

    GPRS

    PAP

    dublin

    dublin

    mms.vodafone.net

    Setttins for misp are.
    vodafone MISP

    GPRS

    PAP

    vodafone

    vodafone

    isp.vodafone.ie
To get the mms to work you need to go to message settings in you messaging menu.
    multimedia message
    multi msg centre
go to white box at bottom and add new and you need to put in these settings and then activate it.

    Title
    Vodafone MMS
    MMSC URL
    http://www.vodafone.ie/mms
    MMS Proxy
    10.24.59.200:80
    Connection mode
    TCP with proxy
    Access point
    Vodafone MMS

if this dosnt work go to my vodafone log on,under my phone you see phone details/settings,at this point it gives me details of my old phone.at the bottom of the phone you can update your details.click on this and you will get a list of phones, no lg im afraid.in the middle of this is sim card only click on this,on model click on vodafone 3g broadband modem.click on the first 5 vodafone boxes and push send settings,it will send 3 of the settings to you phone not sure what ones.you need to delete any access point you put in first or you might not have enough space to load them.i can only get the old voda live homepage not the new one but it works, only needed mms so happy enough.hope this helps.

Well after many attempts and talking to Vodafone Irl, I got it working. Turns out they never activated all the required APNs, dispite me calling them a number of times. Lucky I have friend working their, otherwise it might never have been sorted.
    Thanks for the info..

i just tried to get maps and utube on it and got them no problem, maps wont work throught the link on the phone in applications. you have to enter it in you homepage.the same with utube.I think you have to instal maps to get it to work there is a newer version than the one thats on my phone.
open browser go to bottom of page click search
enter utube or google maps click search under it and it will take you there.
im not great with phones but hope this helps you.:)
