Can you not get a USB extension lead and keep your modem further away from the speakers?

Self amplified ones or dumb passive speakers?

If active (an on/off switch or power cable) wrap each of power cable and each cable near the case of each speaker with a ferrite

about two turns of wire in each clamp (3 or 4 needed).

If dumb passive speakers then use the ferrite clamps on each cable at the Amplifer or PC end feeding them.

Sadly many Audio gadgets are poorly designed nowadays. It used to be record players in mid 70's picking up taxies / police etc, now a new generation of designers or cost cutting bean counters making same mistake.

Very hard to cure on existing equipment. Easier to avoid at design stage.

If I use the 2 way radio in car the MP3 player via car cassette adaptor is "wiped out" for similar reasons (actually a handy unintended feature that avoids loud music getting transmitted!.)

came across buzzing amps before but it was due to the power supply not being earthed in an old building and anything with a speaker would buzz which was annoying at low volume

    Different fault.

Also connecting cable TV cable without a "coax braid breaker" can make a huge hum on Home Theater setups due to huge earth loop mains current induced in cable trunks.
