    Hi Folks,

Just wondering if this would be an appropriate forum to post a link to a one act play I'm currently writing? (I know there's a forum dedicated to creative writing, but I'd prefer to specifically target theatre people)

Anyway, I'm not exactly finished the said one act play as I'm bogged down in my umpteenth rewrite and I've gotten to the plateau where I really need to let go and have someone else critically appraise it. It's in and around 30 pages - is this too long for a post?

Just to finish, are there any people out there who might like to have a read? I could set myself a deadline by which time I'll have to have it finished and posted by...

    Till then,

    Blue Soul.

Wish I could help you but its just not my area. DYT used to have a one act festival so they may be able to help you. Fishamble are a company that specialise in new theatre writing and they run courses to help writers interested in theatre. Keep at it and good luck.

Hi Cue, appreciate your reply. Not sure who or what DYT are but I'll google them. I've heard about fishamble's reader policy so they're a definite option. And on the posting front, I've since read that disseminating one's work on the interweb is not the wisest move since it technically constitutes publication (though you receive nought for it) this would further disbar one from entering festivals since they all stipulate not having had a work previously published.

Anyway I've since finished my umpteenth draft and am in the process of recruiting readers.

If you want to e-mail it to me, I'll have a look at it and tell you its strengths and weaknesses. 30 pages doesn't seem that long and I have experience in screenplay writing and script doctoring. skydyed(*)eircom.net
