Vista/Ram/Video help down under

    only new here so here goes,got a 32 bit Vista home premium wanting to up grade to 64 bit are there any software issues between programes 32 bit-64 bit and so forth,
    also have being told that 32 bit software can only run max 4 gig ram???
    i"ve got a gigabyte ex38-dq6 board whish will run 8gig,at the moment there is 2 X Kingston /800hz sticks @4 gig so i tried another 2 x 1 gig Kingston /1066 sticks which brought it up to 6 gig which came up at 5.9 on windows now who do you belive the guy on the corner/windows or the guy with a pint in hand,
    also installing to night 1 x Visiontek 3870x2 O/Clocked video card with a standard 3870x2 card (for cross fire)really recommed this set up for extrem gaming/media,
    take alook at the site www.tigerdirect.com than type visiontek 3870x2 over clocked edition,it will impress most people

    There's very few problems running 32bit software under 64bit Windows.

    A 32bit windows app can only use 2GB of RAM, or with some extra options at compile time it can extend that to 3GB.

    Vista showed 5.9GB since it will report the total physical amount of memory now, not the addressable amount like past versions of Windows.
