Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Check out the forum on www.ukgser.com

Someone on ukgser should give you some pointers. There's a section for 1100's.

it's been a while, but iirc.........you can't adjust a pot for the mixture - what you've been adjusting is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), which is a different animal - the procedure you're looking for is know in BeeEmm circles as 0-0 or Zero-Zero.

Mixture adjustment is by conventional screws on the throttle bodies - www.bmwsporttouring.com is a font of knowledge on that stuff.

What he needs to do is change the fuel/air mixture. As said it is ether by screws on the throttle bodies or if is a bike with a ECU, then through the ECU.

Mixture on a GS, even with an ECU, is still by screws - there are two on each throttle body.

The TPS is used in the balancing process only.

Loads of info, inc tech articles, here: http://www.ibmwr.org/ and the TPS adjustment is here: http://www.ibmwr.org/r-tech/oilheads/zero528.shtml And, as it says, you only go at the TPS as a last resort.........not a first one.

The best tech list of articles is here, on that site too - including how to set the throttle screws: http://www.ibmwr.org/r-tech/oilheads/index.shtml

When you've gone through that lot, you'll understand ...
    1. Why ordinary bike shops won't touch a BeeEmm as trade in......
    2. Why ordinary bike shops wont work on BeeEmm's.......too much labour...
    3. Why there's a glut of GS's and RT's with no buyers - they're high maintenance compared to Jap stuff.
