Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cheers for that, fairly concise stuff.

Just one thing though, how are Fulham valued at £150million?

I don't get that either. You certainly couldn't rate Fulham's squad value as being 3x the value of Bolton .

Of course you could, Craven Cottage is worth millions

Its probably worth more than the entire city of Bolton

As a guess , I would say it the stadium and pitch is seen as valuable city property .

That makes sense too. If its overall club value rather than squad value then the London location would sky rocket the price. Well spotted.

Why are Spurs and Newcastle valued the same so?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,219 ✭✭✭invincibleirish

Yep ive seen a few Articles like this all suggesting Liverpool have very little money (F365 say only £10m) to spend in the summer. Which makes the prospect of Barry staying at Villa all the more likely.

St James's park holds at least 17-18,000 extra fans than White Hart Lane, which over the course of a season will geneate alot more revenue through ticket sales and raise the club value. Thus, with a fairly large fan base Newcastle are rated the same as Spurs imo.

Invincibleirish, that table probably only accounts for transfer cash generated by the club itself (ticket sales etc), without taking into account the sales of players like Crouch, Pennant, John Arne Risse and Finnan. The final transfer cash could be in the £40-50m bracket.

i'll eat my hat if Rafa Benitez earns £30-£40m from Peter "likes his nachos" Crouch ,Riise, Finnan & Pennant.

Those were just some of the names I could remember off hand. The original article appeared here http://www.goal.com/en-india/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=709895
70m looks extremely generous but if he pulls it off I'll eat my hat as well th_tiphat-1.gifth_smiley_eat.gif

Peter nacho Crouch story was on the Guardian podcast. I'm amazed Fulham have not been relocated to Vauxhall or Stockwell by now ;)

If you combined the debt of United and Chelsea, you would be able to buy every club outside the top 4

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,008 ✭✭✭delija_sever029

How the hell will Hull and Stoke look like next season when they are worth as one middle class player of any club from top 4,hope that doesnt say anything but it sounds Derby will be good comparing to them

    They'll get beat a lot.

It'll be a tough learning curve for the promoted sides. Even with the boost in television viewership payments to the club they'll hardly be able to attract much quality.
