    Hi,

I'm a 4th level student in full time education (earning very little, not entitled to medical card and too old at 23 to jump onto my parent's plan) and I'm looking for reccomendations for health insurance.

I'm thinking about going with VHI, but have a couple of questions.

Firstly, does anyone know if any of the health insurers will do a reduced rate for independant full time students?

Secondly, how do you pay for it? Do you have to pay the annual sum all at once or can you pay monthly?

    Any advice appreciated

    Ta

I have a vague recollection that VIVAS will cover a student who is 23.

You should give them and call and they definitely do monthly direct debit.
