    Hey Folks,

I'm just wondering what good investment options there are out there for a lump sum. Currently I have a fairly modest amount of money (4 figures) sitting in a current account not doing a whole lot. I was toying with the idea of investing in the forestry fund - 8.2% compound per annum, but I don't want to tie my money up for a long period and I'm not that keen in investing in the stock market. I'd be happy enough with a banks that do good savings/ investment accounts.

    Suggestions welcome!

Ah, I've just noticed that someone has posted a similar question. As suggested in the thread, would first Active be my best option?
