Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just 'cos you're new doesn't mean that you shouldn't read the charter for the forum and nobody is going to give you anything even approximating to legal advice here - much less any advice on taxation issues. There could be a myriad of other factors that you will honestly need to discuss with a professional.

You ought to ask the person who 'led you to believe that you are liable for corporate (you mean Capital, right?) gains tax' about setting off CGT against CAT. It can be done. It depends on the circumstances. You are asking for advice in the wrong place.

Go talk to a real person in the real world...seriously!

I obviously have spoken to ppl in the real world, I am just looking for other opinions. Thanks for your reply but no need to be such an c*&t about it

Not being facetious here but what did the real world tax professionals say? Is there any particular point you were doubtful about and if yes is there some reason why they wont clarify? Why do opinions illicited from some people surfing the same website matter?
