Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rugby 08 came out for the PS2. Seems strange that they didn't make a 360 version.

I did ALOT of research on this last year, i was desperate for next-gen rugby.

Rugby 06 got poor reviews and didnt sell well, this meant that EA and the studio in charge (cant think of the name) decided to skip Rugby 07 and make Rugby 08 for Xbox 360. They then said that they didnt have the resources available to make it (wtf) and so made it only on PS2... And it was the exact same game as Rugby 06.

So i think the chances of seeing Rugby 09 at all are slim, and seeing it on PS3 and 360 are VERY doubtful.

Just dug out Jonah Lomu Rugby a while back, used to love that game. Rugby 08 isnt bad, but none of the EA Rugbys have flowed very well.. like only forwards going into the rucks, with all the other players standing round waiting for them to run across the pitch...

An update of Jonah Lomu would be sweet, or a port of it on XBLA

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but that's a League game rather than a Union game, I expect not many people will that interested in it. It's already out in Australia as well, reviews are pretty poor.

this thread doesnt state league or union so i imagine no preference....

although we are traditionally union, league is upcoming fast and furious..

so i think that link is viable for this thread dont you?

I thought HB studios were making a next generation Rugby Union game.

Well apparently the developers are in constant communication with people on The Rugby Forum (TRF), so hopefully they will take on a few suggestions.

HB are usually involved with EA, so EA will probably come in at the last minute so I presume it will be fully licenced.

I love League, it's my favorite sport, I just doubt there are many reading this thread who would share that view.
