Have I seen this around Clondalkin? How have you found it so far? Always been a fan of the FD2.

Possibly was mine, its a bit chalk and cheese to drive compared to my Fn2, handling feels a lot better but the suspension is very stiff, overall it feels a lot more raw to drive in comparison, more like the previous R badged Hondas, it feels like it wants to be pushed hard and not driven like a granny!

Its probably my favourite type r that I've owned so far from a drivers sense, but it lacks the comfort that I loved with the fn2 or accord euro r

What did you have after your FN outta curiosity?

I had a Toyota Bb :) Well the plan was to keep the FN and the Bb was for the craic, but both of them ended up selling. I'd say anyone with a Dc2 would love the Fd2, they feel like they share alot of characteristics, its just whether you can live with the stock suspension as its very bumpy and harsh for a daily driver

outstanding car, your opinion on the fd2 rock hard suspension is a common one.

I think bilstein do a damper upgrade using your factory springs that isnt too expensive.A lot of info on the fd2 owners club

Yeah the problem seems to lie with the dampening on the rear shocks, a good few of the uk owners seem to be running AST coil overs or koni rear shocks which is what I'm thinking of going with as comfort is the only thing I can fault on Irish roads at least

genuine or else someone has gone to fair trouble the make a replica split in two after opening 30 stamped bbs hex nuts per wheel, stamp the center rims BBS and put bbs fittment stickers on the inside of the rims, fit genuine LM valvestems, make it forged and 30% lighter:D

,i previously owned the bbs lm replicas previously that are now under marks grey s2000 (look smart too,i have to say)

I cant remember if I posted my engine bay photo here. So here it is in chronological order.

When I got it, with engine cover off:
    enginebaynocoverIMG_0579.jpg

Then when I had the intake sprayed light grey (again missing engine plastic cover for some reason):
    F466D1EC-AE7E-4AF8-9381-CF5BCC5F088B-8696-00000A9ACC9E9593.jpg

Then as now, painted M Sport colours and with the cleaned up engine cover:

Need to clean up a few bits on it this weekend, both inside and outside. So f-ing cold though, makes it such a chore.

I'm not 100% sure but its a dead ringer, think I can even remember the reg plate. I got it about 8 years ago and sold it about 5 ago. Was a great motor

Sounds about right, I bought it from my GF's dad (works in Nissan) about a year ago, he had it or about 5 years. It had a full front end rebuild while he had it. His son wrote it off.

Nice, man. I've alway had a thing for those trucks.
Had your old Almera Dyno's there at the weekend, putting out only 4.5bhp less than factory. :)

gtcoupejc's car? *faps* seriously great car and in amazing condition. Kudos Sir, Kudos.

DC5 eh dan_ep82? Clearly not a proper Type R. A badge??? A feckin badge adds weight, stickers for the real deal goddamit!!! :D A bloody Lovely yoke they are. Well wear D.

joey180sx I love those Mitzis. They have a real "getdafuqoutamywayImdrivinhere" face. Just IMHO the later ones lost that rawness.

Supraman, liking the S2000. Not so sure about the filter. I thought my eyes were going at first. I'm at that age, so a little consideration would be nice. :D

All DC5's have an Integra Badge on one side and Type R badge on the other. I think only the DC2 and EK9 came with the rear stickers.

I think the UKDM DC 2 had a Honda name badge rather than a sticker. Clearly makes em slower...:D
