Raleigh Bicycles?

Has anyone ever heard of this make of bicycle? I'm enquiring on behalf on my brother who had a Raleigh Bomber years ago. He's looking to get another Raleigh bike but we don't know if they're still sold in Ireland. Many thanks!

It's spelt Raleigh, which is probably why you couldn't find any info.

Raleigh isn't what it used to be. They used to manufacture some really nice, high quality bikes but since production was moved overseas (from Nottingham) a number of years ago they've concentrated on the low-end of the market. They're widely available in most bike shops.

What kind of bike is he looking for? Why a Raleigh?

He has good memories of a Raleigh Bomber from years ago. He's in Limerick and looking to get another Raleigh from a Raleigh bike shop only they all seem to be shut. I'll let him know that they're not as good as they were though. Thanks

I picked up one of these for €300 last year by mail order from Evan Cycles in the UK, very happy with it......

raleigh also own diamond back, they still make some solid stuff but alot is ****.
