hi a old friend of mine who has been homeless for the last 15 or so years hes never really worked only odd jobs cash in hand kinda thing, is now looking to see how he goes about signing on. he has an abode now.what kind of documents does he need to bring to the local welfare centre.

passport or long birthcert with photo id

bank statement going back to start of this year if account exists

proof of searching for jobs such as email printouts or written interview results

proof of current address such as lease or 2 bills

a written explanation of what friend has been doing for the last few years
