I'm looking to get back playing football and was wondering what teams are around Balbriggan area. Im 29 and havent played in years so its more a fitness/ social thing. Dont mind warming the bench. If anyone knows where training is on what nights its on when preseason is id appreciate the help.

Glebe North are the original Balbriggan side, not sure how many teams they have though. Thier firsts should be fairly handy.

Think there's a team called Balscadden Blues nearby-used to be anyway.

Take a look at the Balscadden website, they have a senior team

Saw a poster up in the Hamlet pub recently. I think their trying to start up a team, can't remember the details though

Also Balbriggan FC (2/3 senior teams, 1st play on a Sunday 11am in the LSL around 4/5 divisions off the top) play at the north of the town at the Bell's Lane area and Hyde Park (1 senior team (had 3 back in the day), low level nowadays) play behind the church, both with their own clubhouses.

Glebe have two senior teams, the 1st playing on a Sunday in the LSL top division (recently promoted), the seconds playing on a Saturday to a high enough standard.

Close season now for all, back in July.

Balscadden Blues and Clonard Celtic joined forced to make Balbriggan FC as per above.

The Balscadden above is based out in Ring Commons and hasn't much to do with the Balscadden Blues of old.

They started pre-season two weels ago. Monday night and friday night AFAIK. Keith the pub manager is the team manager too, so he would be the man to talk to.
