    Explain this one.
Changed ISP to wirelss which i expected to drive up my ping.
Which it did, but in a very unusual manor.
Play mostly on two uk servers and a US server, but here's what i find odd,
My ping would usually be 150 on the US, 40-50 on both UK server, but now it's 110-120 on the US, 40-50 on one UK server and 100 on the other.
No servers have moved and both uk servers are beside each other....
Not looking for help but just thought i'd share....

Different Isp's use different routes for ip traffic depending on whats available to them and how much it costs. For example, I'm with NTL and they are very nice to bounce me all over Europe before hitting servers in England because its cheaper for them.

Yeah was trying to use that thing online that shows you how many servers you go through but already used the free trail and forgot about it.
    Thank you!

Hi the start button, click on run and in the run window type CMD.

In the following command promt window, type; tracert "server address"

For example a route for me to boards.ie
    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\Documents and Settings\UserXP>tracert www.boards.ie

    Tracing route to www.boards.ie [89.234.66.107]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

    1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 8 ms 50 ms 11 ms [not getting my ip]
    3 25 ms 16 ms 21 ms 089-101-162145.ntlworld.ie [89.101.162.145]
    4 22 ms 8 ms 28 ms 213.46.165.73
    5 23 ms 23 ms 14 ms 213.46.165.62
    6 21 ms 19 ms 19 ms to-inex-dub-deg-gw.digiweb.ie [193.242.111.20]
    7 21 ms 25 ms 30 ms ip-89-234-66-107.dedi.digiweb.ie [89.234.66.107]

    Trace complete.

You can see each hop and whois them to find the rough location.

Yeah its bad routing as the posters above said. Report the results of the tracert to your ISP, they should be able to resolve it for you.

Can't get that tracer yoke to work!
It's most likely simple but my ability to break and get the simplest of this not to work is largely at hand!
Mainly though because i have vista.
