Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's the thing. Bosingwa has been missing for ages, and Ivanovic has done a superb job at RB.

Essien is irreplaceble, for any team he'd be a major loss.

Nothing up on Chelsea website as of yet either to confirm whether Essien is out for longer. Fingers crossed that it's just malicious rumour!!!!

He is still on crutch's nearly 5 weeks after the injury so tbh it does not look too good .

:) so the Sun is right when it comes to Evra obviously, but cant be trusted about Essien

The Champions League would be great for us to win, I'm dying for us to do it but the league comes first. It's a 38 game season and is the trophy were the best team will always be on top at the end of the season and it's the main trophy imo.

    Ban me from here please.

    Lets go troll

lol come join the united fan side then

we understand that winning the domestic league is more important and a better achievement then winning the CL

well, i would hope most of us recognise which is a better achievement anyway!

League is the bread and butter and its far more important that winning the CL and it aint even close.

    Can't we just take both?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭The Davestator

No one mentioned the fa cup!! Hopefully our blip is over now and terry's head is right after the England game.
Even with our injuries, the squad is good enough to cope. Once frankie doesn't get injured.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

and following on from that, any thoughts on the line up for tomorrows game?
i wouldnt mind seeing a few younger lads making an entrance, keep the possibility of futher injuries of our more regular 1st teamers to an absolute min, it would be a bit of a gamble, but it may well pay off.
    thoughts blues fans?

where did they say United had win the league?

    reads like a tabloid tbh

if anything the bbc have a little bias against united, considering their little rift with Fergie that has led to him refusing to speak to them for years

we are top, where is the bias in that?

thanks, got a laugh off that, wasnt feeling the best this morning.

    got any lemons?! :D

Anyone who thinks BBC have a bias towards United is just deluding themselves. Of all news sources, of all of them, BBC are not biased towards United.

I would have to agree with others on this one , man u and BBC don't have the best working relationship , also you are in the stronger position when you already have the points in the bag rather than a game in hand. I think it could be nearly a month before we get to play our game in hand so man u will be keeping our top spot warm for us for A while yet , unless they feck it up

you could have at least picked some other media outlet as the basis for your post.

why BBC would ever be biased towards Fergie's Utd is beyond me.

they haven't been too fond of each other over the past few years of you haven't noticed.

plus, all that's on the website is fact.

i guarantee you the same headline would be there if it was Chelsea going top with Utd having a game in hand.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

BBC are very neutral and unbiased, on almost all subjects, IMO. Best broadcaster you're likely to find anywhere. Don't believe that they would say anything like that at all.

It's still as tight as anything at the top at the moment. Anyone's to win who really wants it.

Chelsea v. Stoke @ 4pm today. My prediction: 2-0 Chelsea. The Delap-inator won't be as much a scourge as people make him out to be, I reckon.

according to reports Cole to join Utd in summer and we're replacing him with Landon Donovan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

    im going with:

    .................Hilario................
    Ivanovic..Terry...Alex...Zhirkov
    ..................Mikel................
    .........Lampard...Malouda.......
    .................J.Cole................
    .........Drogba....Anelka..........

although i would like to see Sturridge start given the form hes shown in the FA Cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

not yet reckon very close team I reckon

Anelka will be on bench I think.

    2-0 to us

    Frank and Drogs

Is Zhirkov not injured still? I'd say Ferreira will start instead of him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

Chelsea: Hilario, Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, Paulo Ferreira, Malouda, Mikel, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Kalou

Subs: Turnbull, Joe Cole, Deco, Sturridge, Matic, Kakuta, Van Aanholt

We only have one defender on bench

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

good team, would like to have seen sturridge on ahead of kalou possibley, but still, looks fairly strong. wonder will the likes of Matic making the bench, next stop the 1st team ahead of Ballack with a bit of luck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

sounds like Joe wants to stay at the bridge from that interview

Who would you like to get for the next round ?

Pompey all the way. Be the easiest out of any of them IMO. Chelsea vs. Spurs final, anyone?.... Be so deadly...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

Good game, defence is beginning to look more solid, working as a unit. alex did his job nicely.
mikel didnt have the worst time of it today, lampard got stuck into it in midfield which was great to see.
anelka deserves praise, had a good game too.
normal service resumed as they say.
