How does it compare to an NSX?

It doesn't! Unless you look at back seats and a big boot.

Was never bowled over by the 5series looks, and the interior is very drab. The engines are great, but the ride can be rough, esp on run flats.

Dont have kids so big back seats arnt a must, there handy, but i can live without.

If the NSX is a bit of a leap for you, you'd get a new S2000 for £25k.

It's the engine from the DC5, with 220bhp. Not as bad as you make it sound really!

220ps actually, but same K20 in all those cars, just different tune for different octane.

well, been lookin into the maserati, and i cant find a mechanic that can deal with the service issues. plus the relaibility is an issue too.

Im still on the ropes with the 3.0TDI A6. I like the car, but dunno if it will be exactly what im looking for.

Then my mate threw another option into the mix.

    A Vauxhall Monaro. :D

have to say, im very tempted.

I know what you're saying about the A6, when I drove the 3 litre I was decidedly underwhelmed.
The monaro certainly is different, and it's the 6 litre one too, not that underpowered 5.7... :D

Ill probably get lynched for suggesting other cars, but Im suprised you dont have an E60 5 series in there somewhere. The magazines certainly rate them. A 535d would be tasty. I guess its the styling that put you off! :)

If it was me the Audi would be the most attractive option.

well that is a possibility. i sometime stay at my dads place in the south the odd weekend, so i may have to drive about just to let the people know that V8 rumble

Drive around Gormless' house a bit when you're over here. It's unlikely, but he might start to appreciate the big engine's rumble :D

If your looking for something that handles well, what about the 330d couple or even the saloon? the 335d couple are mainly over £24k but you might find a 335d saloon for 24K

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-330d-2006-Diesel-Coupe_W0QQitemZ280239577555QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280239577555&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A3&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

the Monaro is in a different league, but the majority of the cars you looked at first were diesel, much more practicable then a car that will go sideways around every corner and you'll need shares in shell! but thats me, im not 24! and not in NI. were i would probably be thinking differently.

Actually, I've just been told that there might be a diesel Legend on its way.. dunno if they'll keep the SH-AWD tho.

Diesel is always popular with our northern brethern.. :)
