Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

if its xp set a password on the administrator account
    1)start
    2)run
    3)net user administrator your-new-password

then you can just remove read access permissions to the files for evey account bar the administrator account
in xp home you will have to boot up in safe mode and log in as administrator to change settings then
    1) right click on the exe (not a shortcut to it)
    2) properties
    3) security tab
    4) untick all boxes for everyone bar the administrator

then you can create shortcuts to the exe's and modify the shortcut's properties
    1)right click on shortcut
    2)properties
    3)shortcut tab
    4)advanced button
5)tick to "run this shortcut with different credentails"

anyone trying to run them will get a promt for username and password they wil get an error unless they put in administrator and the password you put in above

If its for public use, put this on it, its free and controls all sort of user access. It also has the ability to rollback any user changes on reboot, meaning the PC will always be in the same state as you left it.
