Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Okay, I recently bought this and am really struggling on the "Sandtraps" level in HL2. I'm at the part where there's the lighthouse. I stayed perched on top of the light house and destroyed all the dropships. In the basement there seems to be a door which I can't open and after exploring the houses, I can't find anyone there.

    The only person there is a medic who only says "Sorry Gordon" whenever I try prompt him. I take it someone is meant to help me open the door? If so, who? And how the fork do I get down to that path below??

    Am I just unlucky enough to have a glitched gamesave?

    After you destroy the dropships a person should come up to the top of the lighthouse and tell you to follow them, they'll take you to the bottom and open the door for you.

    Something similar happened to me on Condemned, I went into a lift and it wouldn't let me move to the floor I had to go on, no matter what I tried, I then had to go back to the save point at the begining of the level and work my way through again. This time the lift worked.
