Where'd it go? I was on it only a few hours ago, and I really don't see why I was banned if that's the case...

It is still there for me. PM Rabies or Hagar, there were a few people removed from the access list recently because of inactivity maybe. Probably why you can't see it.

Not sure the point of a cull on a forum like lolocaust, I understand when its a private forum between friends or something and want to limit people who dont actively use it, but what harm do more posters on the access list cause?

    Indeed.

I haven't been on Lolocaust for a while, but I certainly do browse/post in it now and then.

You had to post on a sticky at the top of the forum to retain access. Let it be a lesson to read the stickies :p.

Truth be told, I've only accessed it once or twice in the last few months.

But why the need to prune the members list? I can't see the logic behind that one...

it's in the charter; that if you ask for access, you must use it... dunno why it was out in the charter though... It's no harm really IMO... perhaps a good thing to stop it from growing out fo control...

    Out of control??

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,314 ✭✭✭Marcus.Aurelius

I imagine to keep the forum active and lively, rather than be inhabited by thousands of lurkers.

Well nobody wants a private sub-forum with 150,000 users in it. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,072 ✭✭✭muckwarrior

I thought it was a bit stupid too. If some people only visit it once in a while where's the harm in that?

I think someone has too much time on their hands!

There's no problem with people visiting once in awhile, but as far as I'm aware the sticky to sign in was there for a couple of months so it's not like people weren't given notice.

Nope. We're normal users outside of the forums we mod.
