As someone who loves said post-punk-with-a-tinge-of-funk pop I'm utterly hooked on this track.

Love that song, it's almost too catchy for its own good! The video is great, getting lots of airplay on MTV2 at the moment.

Haircut 100 and Bowie? This must be one hell of a track! :pac:

Hehheh, pure 80s ripoff, even down to the headless guitars and shortsleeve jackets!!

I'd use the term "tribute" or "homage" rather than "ripoff" :)

And to be fair to them, they went for a genre of 80s pop that's not too obvious - unlike Calvin Harris's Acceptable In The Eighties. Great tune but synth-based - the most obvious style for an 80s inspired track.

Some Robert Smith/Morrissey type phrasing and bright props do not make the 80s! Where are the eletronic drums, fretless bass, Korg MS-10 and mixing on an SSL desk at SARM East? ;)

Even though that's supposed to be sh1t, it's actually pretty darn quality!

Slightly better tribute to the '80's than 'Acceptable in the '80's'. Also gets extra marks for namechecking Marquee Moon. Quality!

    Indeed :)

    QFT.

...Sir will be requiring the bright-yellow Simmons drum-kit* and Akai Reel-to-Reel?

Marquee Moon was released in 1977 FAIL! :pac:
