Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

changing from vista to xp

    i want to change my vista laptop to xp, i have an old xp disc i got from dell but the new laptop isnt dell, will i be able to use it?

    no you wont.

    The OEM cd's by dell have an OEM CD key built into the installation. During the installation (@ 13 mins remaining IIRC) a custom dell script runs at this time.

    This script checks the system for a dell bios, if one is present, it activates the version of windows, if it is not. you will be given the usual 30 day grace.

    if you have Vista Business or ultimate you are allowed to install XP PRO. call up the microsoft on the number it shows during setup and when you give your vista serial they will give you an XP one.

    If you have vista home then you are not allowed to use it's license to install XP
