I was thinking of taking a trip to the one this Saturday in Swords. I was just wondering has anyone ever attended these before and of so what do they usually sell (if they sell fodd, is it usually good qulity i.e meat, breads etc) and are the prices reasonable?

Yeah, I've been there twice now. When it opened a few months ago and then again on the banl holiday week-end. these visits were two very different experiences. At the opening one there was a fanfare and about 4 different farmers selling really good value produce. The second time they were down to 1 farmer, and he had obviously hiked up the prices.

Some of the specialist food producers are interesting. There's an italian geezer with the best pesto you ever tasted and the Indian woman with the samosas is tryingn to give tem away at this stage. Unless north Dublin people get off their arses and stop going to Dunnes etc. this market looks like it will fold.
