That's an awful lot of seven series for the money, and there is probably room to manouvre on the price he's starting off that low! More extras and lower milage than the rest of them, for a lot less money.

Mate picked up a '02 735i about two months ago, fully loaded, looks mint, IIRC about 80K on the clock, cost him 18K Trade.

That looks like a great car. But make no mistake. Buy that car now and you'll struggle to get half of that back next year (unkel's first law: the 7 year BMW itch - applicable to high end large engined saloon petrol (non M) BMWs in the Irish market :D)

On the other hand, buy that car now (for less than a small new yawnmobile) and drive in supreme style and comfort for many years to come. In my 8 years of driving high end old (7-12 year old) V8 petrol BMW saloons, the only two issues I had was a driver window mechanism and a €1k suspension job that I knew was coming at 135k miles

PM MrPudding. He bought a current model 7-series (long wheel base E66) recently and plans to buy another one after his was written off. See here

What would the expected running costs of one of these 745s be doing 25000 miles a year
