Tabular statements will not come up this year or next year on the accounting higher level paper. It has already come up two years in a row, 06 as 100m and 07 as 60 m. Service firms will come up this year as 60m with club and dep. published and suspense as 100m........ and marginal costing in management accounting

Oh god, I hate 1 and 2. It would be typical of my luck if something like that turned up. :o

    At the moment I know/studied:

    Section1: Final a/c's (Sole Trader & Manufacturing)

Section2: Suspense, Published, Cash Flow & Club

    Section3: Marginal & Production Budgeting

That should hopefully keep me covered, right??????

    im kinda like you except

    Section1: Final a/c's (Sole Trader & Manufacturing)

    Section2: interpetation,Published,& Club

    Section3: Marginal & Product costing

so i think im fairly fooked..but say you be ok....just praying section 2 goes well..50% of the marks

Service firm and Clubs won't come up together, or I'll eat my hat! Service firms, Clubs and Farm accounts alternate with eachother, and Clubs hasn't been on since 2004 so I'd bet on those. (I've done them all anyway, but not to the same degree)

And yeah, what on earth is an incomplete 3?!
I'm really hoping there aren't alot of marks on theory. :(

Everyone relax! Incomplete type 3 is just the name given to a 60 marker incomplete :)
Cheers for the response btw postalservice! it makes sense!!

And really.. I'm 99% sure it's gonna be a very fair paper.. Why would they put surprises on it and try to catch people out? If they did any of the following:
    1) put on departmental
    2) took off interpretation
    3) had q.8 and q.9 as only one of costing/budgeting
    4) put on farm accounts 100m (I think)
then people would just complain and complain, and they're not looking for that kind of bad press. Plus it's simply not fair in comparison with other years.. They're trying to encourage more people to take up accounting and make it an approachable subject, not the opposite..

Btw.. just discovered new pattern today.. every year there is a same qs from the last year papers that comes up. (HL)

    1999 - 2000 published
    2000 - 2001 service
    2001 - 2002 tabular
    2002 - 2003 published
    2003 - 2004 revaluation
2004 - 2005 no repetition for some reason
    2005 - 2006 published
    2006 - 2007 tabular

so anyways.. my point is that there bound to be something on this years paper from 2007..
i hope hope hope its not going to be a control account of somekind ;(
studied 16 topics nearly out of 24.. hopefully that ll be ok..

    good luck to everybody btw!
