December Skiing?

I am hoping to get out skiing in mid December and was wondering where would be the best place to go considering it is so early in the season? Would it be advisable to go to a resort that has a glacier to be on the safe side?

Yep i'd go somewhere with a glacier nearby - you probably have a 50/50 chance of snow in the lower resorts at that time.

I'd suggest Saalbach. The Zell am See glacier is about 20km away. Alternatively you could go to Zell am See itself but i don't like the skiing there much.

You can also try Val D'isere \ Tignes, I went last year in early Dec, had amazing conditions and no queue's for any lift.

I'll second that. Tignes has skiing in August, so it should be very snowsure in December. Also, it should be cheap at that time.
