Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is this prohibitively expensive or is it always expensive to book so far in advance?

Id say the sooner you book the better. I know ppl who book their New York Xmas shopping trips 10 months in advance to get the best prices. The airlines simply don't do sales at that time of year.

AFAIK www.flightcenter.com.au guarantee that they will beat any lower quotes from other agencies on a flight from Australia so they'd probably be a good place to start. If you are a student though check http://www.studentflights.com.au/ first.

Whatever way you do it it's going to cost you a small fortune. I've just paid $4200 return for myself and my girlfriend to fly home.......in February. That's 10 months in advance. My mate has paid $3500 for himself to fly to the UK for Christmas. It's only gonna get worse (if possible) the longer you leave it.

Those prices are from Perth btw. As far as I know it's dearer from the east coast.
