Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

Has anyone any recommendation for encrypting an entire disk ?

PGP was good for files and folders, but it appears that if I want to encrypt an entire volume (disk) then you need to get USB E-tokens, and this isn't really a viable solution for the non technical users (imho).

Is there a better product out there? purchasing the licence is not a problem so the more corporate solution would be very welcome

    thanks in advance
    Fionn

Most full disk encryption products allow regular username and password only authentication.

Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with Vista's BitLocker? I'm debating whether or not to install it on my work laptop.

    Cheers!

Bitlocker is good, just a pain in the rear from my experience with it to setup. Great that you can use a usb key as authentication etc.

We use Pointsec(Now called Checkpoint - www.checkpoint.com) at work for all laptops. Pretty seamless integration, just have a prompt at power on after POST has run. Nothing to configure for the end user. Easy!
